INFIDELITY THERAPY IN OREGONIA, OHIO

Individual & Couples Counseling and Online Services

The discovery of an affair, whether emotional or physical, is a traumatic event. It shatters your sense of safety, leaves you questioning your past, and makes the future feel impossible to navigate. When you are in the middle of this chaos, you don’t just need a general counselor—you need a specialist in infidelity recovery.

Why Specialized Infidelity Therapy Matters

Many well-meaning therapists offer general couples counseling, but betrayal requires a specific skill set and approach. Treating infidelity with traditional counseling methods can often cause more harm than good, inadvertently retraumatizing the betrayed partner or leaving the unfaithful feeling vilified.

Think of it like heart surgery: you wouldn’t go to a general practitioner for a complex cardiac procedure. You go to a specialist who understands the intricacies of the "wound." In my Oregonia, Ohio office and online, I provide the expert guidance necessary to stop the "hemorrhaging," stabilize the crisis, and help you determine a path forward with clarity.

Couples Infidelity Therapy: Rebuilding from the Ground Up

Finding Hope After Heartbreak in Oregonia, OH, and Online

Whether you are both committed to repair or are currently at a crossroads, you need a safe, neutral space to process the trauma and learn how to move forward.  I meet couples “where they are” in their recovery journey and treat every situation as unique.  My guidance provides structure and purpose to your repair process so you can move beyond "talking past" each other and toward true healing and forgiveness.

In our work together, we will focus on:

  • Crisis Stabilization: Managing the immediate fallout, panic, and anger so you can function again.

  • Understanding the "Why": Gaining a transparent, honest understanding of how and why the betrayal happened in order to foster healing and prevent mistakes from being repeated.

  • Restoring Emotional Safety: Learning how to communicate productively and rebuild broken trust.

  • Decision Making: Helping you decide, with dignity, if the relationship can be rebuilt into something stronger than what existed before.

Note to the hesitant partner: If you are unsure about therapy or feel you’ll be the "bad guy," I invite you to call me. My role is not to judge, but to advocate for the health of the relationship and the well-being of both partners.

Individual Infidelity Therapy

Personal Support for a Unique Traumatic Experience

Infidelity is a unique trauma because two people are going through the same event from very different perspectives. Sometimes, the most productive work happens one-on-one. I provide a private, non-judgmental space for infidelity therapy in Oregonia and online, designed to help you find your footing, regardless of what your partner chooses to do.

Individual therapy is essential if you are:

  • The Hurt Partner: Processing the "discovery trauma," rebuilding shattered self-worth, and managing the intrusive thoughts following betrayal.

  • The Participating Partner: Seeking a safe space to understand your choices, navigate guilt or shame, and learn how to support your partner's healing.

  • At a Crossroads: If your partner is unwilling to attend therapy, or if you need to decide privately whether you want to stay or go.
